Inside a Syrian Refugee Camp: The Long Season
Nine million Syrians have left their homeland since the breakout of the war, of which over 1.5 million are in Lebanon. The Long Season offers rare insights into life in an informal Syrian refugee camp, following the tales of those awaiting to return to Raqqa, their home town that was captured by ISIS. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Film Producer Pieter Van Huystee, moderated by Anna Crowe, Lecturer on Law and Clinical Instructor at the International Human Rights Clinic.
Dinner will be served. RSVP on Facebook here.
Hosted by the Islamic Legal Studies Program: Law and Social Change, and co-Sponsored by the Human Rights Program at Harvard Law School, the Middle East Initiative at the Harvard Kennedy School, the Religious Literacy Project at the Harvard Divinity School, and the Harvard Immigration and Refugee Clinical Program.
