Please join us for a screening of Sittwe, a short documentary about two teenagers separated by conflict and segregation in Myanmar’s Rakhine state. Sittwe explores each community’s perceptions of the “other,” the roots of the conflict, and prospects of reconciliation and peace.  The film was banned in Myanmar.  The screening will be followed by a discussion with Burmese peace activist and Film Producer Myo Win, moderated by Yee Htun, Lecturer on Law and Clinical Instructor at the International Human Rights Clinic.

Lunch will be served.

Hosted by the Islamic Legal Studies Program: Law and Social Change, and co-sponsored by the Harvard Asia Center, the Human Rights Program at Harvard Law School, and the Religious Literacy Project at the Harvard Divinity School. RSVP on Facebook here.
