Equal Justice Works Fellow, Housing and Economic Rights Advocates
Megumi Tsutsui is an Equal Justice Works Fellow with Housing and Economic Rights Advocates in Oakland, CA. She is launching a legal project to eliminate barriers to credit by resolving abusive or bad debt and identifying obstacles to accessing affordable credit in low-income and Latino communities in the Bay Area. Prior to law school, she worked in management consulting helping both for-profit and non-profit institutions achieve greater returns and greater social impact. She plans to utilize her experiences to build a multi-disciplinary and collaborative practice that removes bad products and abusive practices while facilitating access to and growth of affordable and wealth-building small-dollar loans.
