Kai Mueller

Program Coordinator, Human Rights Program

Kai Mueller is the Program Coordinator of the Human Rights Program. Prior to joining the Human Rights Program, Kai worked, studied and lived in a diverse set of countries including Rwanda, Morocco and Germany. His experience includes working as Political and Economic Advisor at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany and English Education Volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps in Rwanda. He also has experience working for Oxfam, Ecologic Institute, the Environmental Policy Research Institute of the Free University in Berlin, the Headquarters of the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin, and the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington D.C.

Kai graduated with a B.A. in political science from the Free University Berlin in 2016 with specializations in peace and conflict studies, international political economy, and climate and energy policy. His Bachelor’s thesis focused on the Balai Citoyen, a civil society organization which played a decisive role in the revolution of 2014 in Burkina Faso. Kai is fluent in English, German, Kinyarwanda, and French. Kai is an ALM candidate in sustainability at the Harvard Extension School.
