Film Screening and Panel Discussion: “After Tiller”

Please join the Harvard School of Public Health’s Women, Gender, and Health Interdisciplinary Concentration for an evening screening of the award-winning documentary “After Tiller,” which explores the topic of third-trimester abortions in the wake of the 2009 assassination of practitioner Dr. George Tiller that left behind only four doctors in the United States who perform this procedure. After the screening, HSPH will host a panel discussion with Ana Langer, MD, Professor of the Practice of Public Health, Coordinator of the Dean’s Special Initiative on Women and Health, Harvard School of Public Health; Deborah Bartz, MD, MPH, Associate Gynecologist, Brigham & Women’s Hospital & Instructor in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology, Harvard Medical School; Elizabeth Janiak, MA, MS, Doctoral Student, Harvard School of Public Health; Jennifer O’Donnell, MSc, Deputy Director, Provide, Inc. and Doctoral Student, Harvard School of Public Health; and Alicia Ely Yamin, JD, MPH, Lecturer on Global Health, Director, Program on the Health and Human Rights of Women and Children, Francois-Xavier Bagnoud Center for Health and Human Rights.
