
Join Harvard Law School Advocates for Human Rights for an HRP co-sponsored lunch talk with Eliza Shyhapova, an international lawyer and a legal consultant at the International Development Law Organization (IDLO). Based in The Hague, she provides expertise on international humanitarian law and international human rights law in armed conflict. Eliza’s talk will focus on the militarization of education in the Russia-Ukraine armed conflict and the use of children to actively participate in hostilities. Eliza joined IDLO’s delegation to the 23rd International Criminal Court Assembly of States Parties and Ukraine’s delegation at the 2022 World Economic Forum in Davos. Previously, she held positions in public governance and diplomacy. She holds a master’s degree from Leiden University in the Netherlands and a master’s degree from Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University in Ukraine.
